Light a Candle
Faye H. Ruth was born in Johnston County, NC, on March 21, 1935, in a little town called Zebulon, on the outskirts of Raleigh. She was married twice, first to Carlton Barham, with whom she had five children, and later to William ("Bill") Ruth, who was the love of her life (she never married again after his death in 1995). She held various positions over the years, among them personnel manager for Montgomery Ward in Hampton, VA; Jacksonville, FL; and Orlando, FL. It was in Orlando that she met and married Bill Ruth and eventually became a successful real estate agent with RE/MAX, ranking in their Million-Dollar Club. Faye was known for her passion for the Lord, her love of music/singing, her adventurous spirit, and a smile that could light up a room. She is survived by her five children: Sharon Wynn, Carlton Barham, Janet Angelo, Angie Kiesling, and Ken Barham; stepson Rod Ruth; son-in-law Mike Wynn; daughters-in-law Theresa Ruth, Lidia Barham, and Sara Barham; six grandchildren (Todd, Michael, Kate, Emily, Derek, Heather); and one great-grandchild (Eliana). She will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.
